My Dear Future Proverbs 31 Wife (Part 1)

I have been chewing on this since I have started writing to my future wife on Facebook.

We as men need to read Proverbs 31 and understand that God wants this wife for us.

Let us break it down line upon line, precept upon precept.

Proverbs 31:10-11

10 Who can find a virtuous and capable wife?
She is more precious than rubies.

11 Her husband can trust her,
and she will greatly enrich his life.

God has given (or is going to give) us such a treasure in our wives. Since we know that, what gives us the right to cheat on her, demean her or even place our hands on her to cause her harm? Would you do that if someone gave you a Ferrari or xBox 360 or something you really wanted?

I like how verse 11 says her husband can trust her. Any valuable relationship has to have trust in it. It won’t go far if you don’t trust. I can think of one dating relationship I was in where I was not trusted (sufficed to say, we are no longer together). If she is the wife that God has given to you, then there will be no reason you cannot trust her.

The next part says she will greatly enrich his life. AMEN AND AMEN! Your wife, once you are married, will make your life better and better. She’s the piece you have been missing (remember Adam and the creation of woman? Just sayin’) Your life will become whole. You two will be the anointed team God has appointed you to be.

More to come on this. Maging mapalad! (Be blessed!)
